This is a photography project inspired by the harmful cultural beliefs and stereotypes surrounding Latino masculinity. The photos show different scenarios of what is not traditionally accepted as “manly.” These stigmas exist globally, but have an especially strong presence in Latin American countries, where the systems are rooted in “machismo” and lead to gender roles and gender-based violence.
